What is charming about you? Have you been disillusioned by someone’s charm toward you? The relationship looked like beautiful petals and then you felt the rain. You deserve healthy relationships. You deserve kindness.
Is there anything charming about you? Most people answer the question with, “Of course, I’m charming,” Then.. they think. Now and then someone has a list, but usually they try to place one or two things on that list to prove they can be charming. They often struggle coming up with ways in which they are charming.
I know waiters and service people who should take a few lessons on charm. They fall enormously short of the mark. I also know people who are extremely charming and I don’t believe much of what they say. Am I cynical? I don’t think so but rarely can anyone be that sweet and complimentary all the time (sincerely).
Definition of charm: Noun and verb – (not using this as a charm to wear as jewelry)
We are either charming personalities or we can try to be charming when we want something from someone. I have an acquaintance who tries to charm his way into getting upgrades, free products, more food or discounts that are not normally given. No one would describe this person as charming. He is quite blunt and very often inconsiderate. We know men, women and children who bat their eyes and say sweet things in order to accomplish their mission. I’ve watched people do this and they are successful. I could never stoop to that level. I wish I could be more charming now and then. I don’t speed anymore but when I did, if I had used charm and flirtatious manners, I might not have been fined. Too late. I cannot play that game on any normal day.
Women are usually very susceptible to charm and make wrong decisions because they are not used to charming ways of others. When they realize the charm was not an honest extension of the person’s intentions, they feel duped.
Charm is not important unless you turn on charm of kindness, care and love. Care of others is vital. Truth and empathy are essential to a life of gratitude, compassion and honor. Kindness is the word of the day. Whether you feel like it or not – be kind. Develop healthy relationships; you will never be sorry.
