How To Change Your Thinking
Sweets – sticky, sugary, delicious and sometimes hard on the teeth and body. Delicious decadent treats that are not healthy but taste heavenly.
Sweet. It means what? It means kindness beyond, grace above, compassion overflowing. That’s a sweets genius to me.
People always call my mother sweet. One day someone said to me genuinely, “You are very sweet.” I said, “No, that’s my mom.” I was stunned. After that remark I really liked being called sweet.
I talked to a woman today who is extremely kind and she shared that her mother is not a kind or sweet person. The negativity that surrounded her as a child affected her greatly and her mother has never known the return of care and affection. A sad way to live is to be empty of the attitude of love and compassion. Negative people, at times, can act and speak like they really desire to live, but too often negativity takes over as a habit and they do not decide to break free. Be positive.
When you show consideration and genuine sweetness toward others, it is returned and magnified in your life. You will share and envelop those your meet with a draping of sweet spirit and that is fabulous.
Whatever ‘word’ choice you would like to live into – choose it and move in that direction. Think everyday how you can make it real and effective.
You can learn how to change your thinking about yourself. I never thought of myself as sweet. But then I liked it for certain. I could be called much worse than sweet. Be kinder, more caring, sweeter as each day goes by. I never want to be remembered as having been sour – do you? Transform daily!
