Wise Words Include Patience
Homes take time and patience to build. One is not very wise if the plans are not thought-out and the work is not done correctly. Many circumstances in life requires extreme patience.
Think of a skunk and a dog. The dog is waiting patiently for the skunk to finish eating out of the dog’s bowl. He is smart about waiting. Patience is a virtue. Patience is often born of wisdom; wise words.
Having patience and gaining wisdom through it is not as easy as it may sound. When we realize that the consequences are not as great as the reward, we wait, think and ponder before we act. Much of the time we have learned the lesson of patience in a very difficult way. The hard way is what I call jumping in and then suffering consequences that are less than desirable.
I know a few people who run full speed ahead, never letting anyone breathe or consider a request. They make selfish decisions due to their controlling nature and usually make a mess of things in the process. They seem to believe that damage control later is the answer. No one trusts them once they barge ahead with their own plans expecting everyone to come aboard their ship of decisions. My mother always said that difficulties create patience so I never asked for patience although I really could use more.
Life teaches us through many instances and examples that if we wait we will make wiser decisions. If we give thought and consideration, we will often be wiser. We want to be the person who does not jump in head first. We prefer to walk in with assurance that we have done our research.
Of course, some times we have to make quick decisions but if we are focused and have integrity, we will consider the consequences to ourselves, our team or others. When the pain is worse than the pleasure we stop and make other decisions. The same meaning stands for slowing down long enough to think about how wise our decisions are, how strong our conviction is and how prudent our actions.
For great wisdom, be patient, be aware, be thoughtful, be considerate and you will prevail. Such gifts are given as patience and wisdom and so often one follows the other.
Be strong. Be patient. Be wise. Bloom, wherever you are, in every way, every day; wise words.
