Leaving Resentments Behind – Be Inspired
Resentment toward others frustrates one’s own self. Do situations make you resentful of people who do not seem to have unhappy things happen in their lives? You might as well wear a mad hat like the Mad Hatter always looking for something that’s not so good.
If you allow resentments to fuel your days, you are the one who suffers. It builds and boils inside of you and can create unhealthy attitudes and ill-health. Do you envy and resent someone who has a larger home or two homes. Are you jealous of those who seem to have it all? Do you actually think that they have no struggles, that they may be living beyond their means and are almost bankrupt? Now, I don’t want you to delight in those thoughts. I just want you to know that most people struggle with success or the image of success, confidence vs. insecurities, or personal relationships that just don’t work right.
If you can keep your mind on what is good about life and what is given to you freely you will live in a happier way. Your health status is something to celebrate if you are not ill and those around you who care about you are enormously valuable. If you focus on your blessings and not your frustrations your resentments will seem small and fade away. When they rise up, take them down and dismiss them through prayer and an attitude of gratitude. Remember that some people are in very dire straits. Others have very little food, love, health or compassion around them. These people possibly harbor resentments against those who have what they lack.
God is so good. He gives us the ability to decide each day when we get up how we are going to feel. If someone tries to sabotage your good day, turn your thoughts toward healing, comfort, love and reaching out to others.
When someone has been negative or says something that hurts, after feeling sorry for myself; I do my best to buck up, to lift my head and to march onward. Be strong. Know that you can change your feelings and attitudes when it comes to negativity and resentment. Some people resent the success of celebrity or business. They are green with envy constantly and it shows all over in their speech and demeanor of life. Have you known people who throw little barbs your way and try to discourage your positivism? How do you deal with these issues? Honestly, these types of people don’t even deserve a reply. Block out their dark spirits and turn toward something good and uplifting. You may be able to help bring them our of their black attitudes of despair. Often, it is very difficult to help these people see their unhealthy influence in the world. You can try to be an encouragement.
Do not let yourself get trapped in depression, despair, negative consciousness and bitterness.
Resentment will not improve your life, your attitudes, your health, your happiness or your faith. Ever.
Take heart and know that your mind is strong enough to overcome vindictive and resentful people. Your own attitude of envy, your loss of foresight and progress can change into being thankful and helpful.
Who do people want close to them? It’s never resentful people or those with natures of dark gloom and doom. Jealous people are unattractive and bitter. Be the kind of person who exudes God’s grace and care toward others. Be happy in someone else’s success and you will find yourself turning to ways of a lighter spirit. You will discover how to make your day brighter and to diminish resentment. You will know that, above all things, we are meant for good. We were created to be more like God than unlike him.
We must search for truths and for faith. We must learn to change and grow. My faith keeps me this way. My love of God’s Son and his mercy towards me takes resentment, pain, frustration and turns it into the joy of being his child. You can know that too.
Bloom. Every day in every way. Have a beautiful happy day! With love for your success and your growth.
