Asked to write a composition entitled, “What I’m thankful for on Thanksgiving,” little Timonty wrote, “I am thankful that I’m not a turkey.”
Me too – in any sense of the word.
I’m trying to understand why some people have almost no sense of humor.
I’m curious about people who mistreat their children. No patience for that.
Not thankful for:
People who make every thing a joke.
Grumpy and negative people – I’ve been grumpy before and I don’t like the feeling. I’m trying not to be that way.
Criticism – no place for it.
Women who complain about life without thinking of what they enjoy.
Wasted food.
Unappreciative acquaintances.
Men who put-down their wives with words of disgust and brutality.
People who sit at home – not using teachable moments to raise more aware and life conscious kids.
Kids who are afraid to go home.
Those who do not understand how to appreciate others or thank them for contributions.
People who blaspheme God
Malicious gossip.
When I look outside and see my flowers gone after summer and bare trees.
Lazy people who want to live off others.
Politicians who don’t know how to be truthful are thankless.
Children who cause their parents grief and cause broken hearts.
Individuals who show no gratitude toward others; they feel entitled.
I promised myself this month that every day I would show appreciation and say:
Thank you – even more.
I’m committed to being more thankful every day that I have left in this life.
We can try to improve on what we are not thankful for- turn it around and make it something useful. Love that you’ve stopped by. Blossom profusely.
